Our cousin, Jeff Skiba took home the gold medal in the high jump and the silver medal in the pentathlon at the paralympics in Bejing, China over the weekend and at the same time set a new world record with a jump of nearly 7 feet. Above are some of the pictures we received from the family over the weekend.

AMAZING! Fitting that you should be so proud!
That is awesome! Good for him! I just was reading about a mother that had to amputate both legs below the knee and the left arm below the elbow - how do they do it? Your cousin is an amazing example of never giving up and seeing life for what it can be instead of what it isn't! I pray for such great hope, faith, endurance, and determination.
Wow! So so cool! You all must be so proud of him. Shoot, I'M proud! What an incredible athlete.
that's awesome! I kind of feel like I know somebody famous now...even though I don't really know him.
A famous Skiba... who would have thought?!!!
